About the shop
We opened in 2015 in one rented bay off Aurora Ave N. There are four bays now, plus a climate-controlled room for coating work and a crew of IDA-certified techs.
We measure paint depth before we correct it and we write the readings down for you. If the paint only needs one stage, that's what we quote. A 2016 Outback gets taped up the same way a 911 does.

What we wash with
Biodegradable soap that will not corrode your car.
Cheap detergent is the fastest way to wreck a finish. High-alkaline soap strips wax and sealant, dulls plastic trim and dries out rubber seals. Strong wheel acid pits alloy and etches glass. Nissan puts it in writing in their own service bulletin: damage from the wrong cleaning product is not covered under warranty. So we buy the good stuff and dilute it properly.
pH-neutral shampoo, 6 to 8
The range coating manufacturers actually specify. Anything over pH 11 saponifies carnauba wax and breaks down the silica network in a ceramic coating. Dish soap sits at 8.5 to 9 and strips protection every time it is used.
Readily biodegradable, OECD 301
A real standard, not a green sticker. It means 60 percent of the chemical breaks down to CO2 and water inside 28 days. Plant-derived surfactants from coconut and sugar, and GLDA in place of the older EDTA that does not pass.
Nothing that eats trim or alloy
No phosphates, chlorine, ammonia or petroleum solvents. No hydrofluoric or ammonium bifluoride wheel acid, which pits polished aluminium and etches glass. Wheels get an iron remover at pH 3 to 4 and a thorough rinse instead.
Lubricity, because swirls are mechanical
Most scratches come from grit dragged across paint, not from the soap. Our shampoo carries a heavy lubricity package so trapped grit glides instead of cutting, and we pre-wash to lift 60 to 80 percent of the dirt before a mitt touches the car.

Why is the price based on vehicle size?
A Suburban has roughly twice the panel area and twice the interior of a Miata, and it takes about twice as long to do properly. Pricing by size is what lets us publish a real number for every package. Pick your size on any package and the price for your car shows up.
Is the price I see online the price I pay?
Yes, on everything in the packages. The only time it moves is when the car needs materially more than the package covers. Heavy pet hair, smoke damage, paint that wants two stages when you booked one. We tell you before we start and you decide then.
Do you take a deposit?
Not on detailing packages. Coatings and PPF take 25% up front to hold the bay, because those bookings tie one up for days at a time. It comes off the final bill and it's refundable up to 48 hours before.
What's the difference between a coating and paint protection film?
A ceramic coating is a hard, water-shedding chemical layer that makes the car easier to wash and holds off chemical etching. Paint protection film is a thick urethane layer that absorbs rock chips, which a coating cannot do. Cars putting on freeway miles usually want film across the front and a coating over everything else.
Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?
Yes. A coating holds whatever is underneath it in place for years, so swirls that go under a five-year coating stay there for five years. Every coating package we sell includes the correction its tier calls for.
How long does a ceramic coating actually last?
As long as the warranty says, provided it gets maintained and inspected once a year, and that inspection is included. Coatings wear off through abrasion, so washing with a mitt rather than running the car through a brush automatic is what gets you the full term.
